Maths Tutor Bedford is a GCSE Maths tutoring service offering a choice of one-to-one or group tuition to schooled and home-schooled children studying for GCSE/IGCSE Maths exams across Bedford, Bedfordshire.

MTB specialises in helping students in years 9-11 to prepare for their exams but also takes younger children who are working towards specific entrance exams or need intervention.

Maths Tutor Bedford provides a supportive approach to learning GCSE Maths that will build confidence, self-belief and a positive attitude to solving maths problems.  With more than 20 years of working with children and adults of all abilities, MTB has helped numerous children to secure places in highly selective private and grammar schools for their A Level studies as well as ensuring those that need that elusive pass to enter 6th form secure the requisite grade.

We understand how stressful and anxious Maths can be for some children and we aim to nurture a more positive mindset.  With MTB, your child will learn rapidly and gain in confidence to tackle the increasing demands of the syllabus.

Our focal point is on developing a clear understanding of the underlying concepts so that students can think and use their problem-solving ability rather than learning rules by rote.

GCSE One to One tuition is a very different kind of learning to that your child will have experienced at school.  It enables children to catch up or excel at an accelerated rate.

GCSE Group Courses

GCSE Intensive Revision

GCSE Intensive revision programmes usually take place in the Easter Break or May Half Term just prior to the exams.  The sessions cover all examinable areas.

GCSE Full Day Courses

These are bespoke 1-1 all day sessions where the student dictates the topics they wish to cover and the level and pace at which the day progresses.

GCSE Home Schooling

For children who are home schooled, additional support from a private tutor provides students with a chance to revisit more difficult topics and explore new techniques.

Testimonials

We have known Susan since January of 2020, when she took Josh on to give extra tuition in maths.  Josh at that stage was failing in Maths and really had no interest in putting in any effort.  Susan took Josh on and saw the potential that he did not see himself.  She assessed his level in maths, tailored the lessons to his needs and inspired him to do better.  Each week with Susan you could see his confidence grow and his grades improve.  Josh went from a failing student to a student that passed his GCSE.  I would highly recommend Susan to any parent and will be contact her in the future for my other children.

Susan has been an excellent Maths tutor to our son over the years. She has worked with him since his Primary School times up till recently for his GCSE. Our son secured grade 9 in his GCSE mathematics, and now studies A-level Maths and Further Maths in the Sixth Form. Her fantastic tutoring skills include: outstanding subject knowledge, structured sessions with an effective time management and productive feedback at the end of each session. As a person, she is lovely, supportive and has encouraging approach. We have been lucky to have her as our son’s tutor and I am delighted to recommend her as a maths tutor.
